Does anybody out there have a WordPress blog? First off, WordPress.org has blog software that you may download to your server, then you can mix it with K2 for some great themes, etc... Secondly, WordPress.com is a free online blogger. I tried the latter.
I was surprised by the difficulty in use of WordPress. I fooled around with it for hours, staying up late, but it just does not live up to half the hype. I learned on the WordPress forum, (yeah, there is a forum for bugs and questions - that ought to tell you something right there) that to change the size of the font, you have to get in and change the code!
I do not understand why something as simple as the font size can't even be changed in a toolbar. Isn't the ability to change font size a pretty standard function? Ummmm, yes it is!
Its best feature is probably the ability to change the header picture easily. But look, behold...you can do it in blogger as well. Whadaya know? WordPress does have some other features that are really nice, but for me, the ability to get my content out easily is King. I barely have the time to post, much less, crack code to change fonts and do other standard functions. For now, blogger rules! Late.
